Q. How do I determine whether or not my equipment is NIOSH certified?

A. Your equipment will have a TC (Approval) Number located directly on the equipment. All NIOSH-approved respirators have a testing and certification (TC) approval number (e.g., TC84A-XXXX). The NIOSH approval label will also be found within the respirator packaging, it indicates the TC approval number as well as protection type. NIOSH approval labels used in conjunction with the applicant's user instructions provide essential information to know if the configured RPD (respirator assembly) is NIOSH-approved.

Once you have your TC number, look up the CDC website here: https:/wwwn.cdc.gov, LINK

Enter your TC number and how you would like your results ordered.

Example:

It will then show you the Approval code.

Click on the link to see a full list of the Approval Details of the equipment.

If you DO NOT have a TC number, you may view the Full List of Avons' NIOSH certifications, by selecting the "QUICK SEARCHES" tab on the CDC-NIOSH website. Select "MANUFACTURER or BRAND", search Avon Polymer Products, Ltd. Order the results by: Manufacturer Name, then VIEW RESULTS.
