ST54 Shelf Life

Q. What is the shelf life of the ST54 and its' components?

A. The ST54 *shelf life is 10 years. This can be extended to 15 years if there is strict adherence to Avon Protections' recommended servicing schedule. Shelf life will depend on the degree of use. When replacement of worn or damaged parts can no longer restore the unit to meeting minimum performance requirements, the unit must be retired.

*Shelf life is the maximum period of time, starting from the time of manufacture, that a rubber product,
appropriately packaged, may be stored under specific conditions after which time it is regarded as
unserviceable for the purpose for which it was originally manufactured.

Important Note: ST54's in storage should be energized at least once per month, to keep all of the moving parts properly lubricated/free. All type 4 cylinders must be stored with a minimum pressure of 2 bar (29 psi).
