Gen I & Gen II VPU System Components Interchangeability

Q; Are the components of the Gen I VPU system & the Gen II VPU system interchangeable?

A: A GEN II VPU will function with a GEN I microphone assembly but a Gen I VPU will not function with a GEN II microphone assembly, however mix matching components is not recommend and would violate future approvals. In an operational situation the mix match configuration may cause feedback or excess noise from the VPU.
