CFP100 FILTER & LEAD DUST

Q:  Would the Avon protection CFP100 filter used in conjunction with the FM54 APR protect the user against Lead (Pb) exposure and lead dust.

A; The CFP100 (P100) filter and the FM54 APR will protect against lead (Pb) exposure but only at or below the concentrations referenced in the CDC/NIOSH - CDC - NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards - Lead
and OSHA - OSHA Respirator Requirements for Selected Chemicals | NIOSH | CDC documents.
Any exposure levels above this would require enhanced levels of protection up to and including supplied air systems (SCBA).
