AVON PROTECTION TACTICAL MASK COMMUNICATIONS (TMC)

Q:  Are the Avon Protection TMC components CBRN hardened?

A:  Yes - CBRN - Exposed entire product or material samples to HD (distilled mustard) or an approved simulant (tributylphosphate). The materials did not degrade after 24 hours  of exposure per RCT-CBRN-STP-0200, 0201.

As the TMC is only an electronic connection between the outside environment and the internal of the mask the CBRN protection of the respirator will not be compromised. The VPU/TMC, if CBRN contaminated can either be decontaminated or disposed of IAW local protocols.
