The MITR-M1 and MITR-PF provides protection against airborne particulates only and is NOT suitable for firefighting and wildland firefighting. 

The MITR-M1 half mask is not intended for use in any environment where it may come into
contact with direct flame.

Do not use the MITR-M1 and MITR-PF in oxygen deficient atmospheres. (<19.5%)
