Q:  Does the Avon Protection M50 (FM50) APR contain any Ferrous or non-Ferrous materials?

A:  The M50 respirator contains a small quantity of metallic components found in the Electronic Communications Port (ECP) connection between the mask exterior connector and the internal microphone connection. However, the total metal content is very small and the breakdown of ferrous/non-ferrous materials are not published and are not available for release through standard product documentation. The contacts are made from non-ferrous Copper Beryllium Alloy (CuBe) each M50 (FM50) Electronic Communications Port (ECP) contains approximately 3g of the alloy.
