AVON PROTECTION PAPR FILTER COVERS

Q:  Is it possible to fit the Avon Protection PAPR filter cover (Part Number 603018) onto a filter fitted to a Respirator?

A: Although it is physically possible to fit the 603018 cover to only the CBRNCF50 and MILCF50 filter attached to a mask it is not something we would recommend.
The filter covers were designed specifically for the PAPR module to prevent damage and moisture ingress when the PAPR is worn on the users back.
Avon Protection masks are designed for any fitted accessories to meet certain weight limit criteria any added mass could create facepiece distortion, connector deformation, or seal disruption resulting in loss of protection.
Only accessories that have been evaluated and approved by Avon Protection should be fitted to the respirator. Any additional or modified accessories would require assessment to confirm that they do not adversely affect leaktightness, inward leakage performance, or practical usability.
